Private Pay rationale Statement

Some mental health therapists are no longer accepting private insurance due to challenges such as low reimbursement rates and the administrative burdens that insurance companies impose. This shift allows therapists to focus more on client care rather than navigating complex insurance requirements.

If you choose to pay out of pocket, you can use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to cover therapy costs. These accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars, which can make your sessions more affordable.

Paying out of pocket can also offer significant benefits. It gives you greater privacy and flexibility, as you won’t be subject to insurance company oversight or restrictions on the type or frequency of therapy you receive. This autonomy can lead to a more personalized and focused therapeutic experience, ultimately supporting your healing journey.

What Patients Say

Ebony has been an absolute blessing in my life. She is my therapy bestie (lol). She worked with when I was going through a tough divorce, noticed signs and symptoms of me having undiagnosed anxiety, and ADHD and has guided me through and equipped me with the necessary tools and resources to heal, and to manage my emotions and anxiety. She is 10/10 therapist in Baltimore MD!
